2023-2024 AHS/LFC PTSA SCHOLARSHIPS

The AHS/LFC PTSA Scholarships have been established to recognize students who have excelled
during their high school career and are looking to continue their education post high school. The
AHS/LFC PTSA is offering four categories of scholarships so that students can choose which
scholarship is of interest. Students may submit one scholarship application. A minimum of four
scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, will be awarded to college-bound students graduating from
Allen High School’s Class of 2024. The applicant must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited
college/university or technical school. Scholarships will be presented at the Senior Award ceremony to
be held at a date to be determined in May by the AHS College and Career Center.

Four scholarship categories have been established for students to apply. Students are
encouraged to apply for one scholarship that best reflects their background, experience, and
interest. Students may submit one scholarship application for one category. 2023-24
AHS/LFC PTSA Scholarship Categories:
● Eagle Soaring Against All Odds/ Overcoming Adversity
● Eagles Giving Back: Community Service Involvement
● Eagles Spirit of AHS: Participation in Extracurricular Activities
● Outstanding Eagle Award: Academic Achievements

Application Requirements:

□ You must be a student member of the 2023-24 PTSA; if not, you can still join
by clicking the “Join Today!” button.

Applications will not be considered if applicant’s membership to the PTSA is not verified.

□ Completed and signed application by student and parent acknowledging all information on
application is accurate and true to the best of your knowledge.

□ Letter of recommendation as specified on each of the four scholarship categories.

□ Copy of Allen High School unofficial transcript, which can be found in the student’s portfolio
within their skyward account. Please make sure it is the most current transcript available.

□ Responses to the following requests for information on summary form and essay. Responses will
be evaluated on clear and concise thoughts, elaboration, content, grammar, spelling and overall
impact. Additionally, please double space the responses, use 14 pt. Arial font, and adhere to the
500 word count on the essay.
